World of Events

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 1, 2026

World of Events is built to be private by default. You can browse and search every event without creating an account, and we collect as little information as possible to run the app.

The short version

No account is required. We don't track you across apps or websites, we don't use advertising identifiers, and we never sell your data. Your location stays on your device. The only personal information we store is an email address — and only if you choose to give us one. This Privacy Policy explains what information the World of Events mobile app and the worldof.events website (together, the "Service") collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Service is operated by Ritzy Ventures LLC ("we," "us," or "our").

Information we collect

Location: If you grant location permission, the app uses your device's location to show events near you, calculate distances, and center the map. Your location is processed entirely on your device. We do not transmit, store, or share your precise location, and it never reaches our servers. Granting location access is optional — if you decline, the app simply centers on a default view instead of your surroundings.Email address (optional): If you tap "Notify me" to hear about new events, we store the email address you enter, along with a note of where in the app you signed up and the date. That's the only information saved. Providing your email is entirely optional and you can dismiss the prompt. We are not currently sending emails; we retain addresses only so we can notify interested people about new events in the future.

Event Submissions

If you submit an event to be listed, we collect the event details you provide (such as name, description, date, time, venue, address, category, links, and price). Submissions are anonymous — the submission form does not ask for your name, email, or any contact information.

Diagnostics and Crash data

To keep the app stable, we use Sentry to collect technical diagnostic information when the app runs or crashes. This includes crash reports, error details, a small sample of performance data, and technical details like your device model, operating system version, and app version. This diagnostic data is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you.

Payment information

If you pay to promote or feature an event listing, payment is handled by Stripe through a checkout page in your web browser. Stripe collects your payment details (such as card and billing information) directly. The World of Events app does not see or store your card details.

Information stored only on your device

Events you save, view, or dismiss are stored locally on your device so the app remembers your preferences. This information stays on your device and is never uploaded to us.

what we do not collect

  • We do not require or create user accounts.

  • We do not use advertising, ad networks, or advertising identifiers (no IDFA/GAID).

  • We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we answer "No" to Apple's App Tracking Transparency.

  • We do not collect your contacts, browsing history, health data, or usage profiles.

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information — ever.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

How we use information

To run the app: showing nearby events, distances, and the map (location, on your device).
To improve reliability: diagnosing crashes and performance issues (diagnostic data).
To notify you: contacting you about new events if you gave us your email (future use).
To review submissions: evaluating and publishing events you submit.
To process payments: completing paid listing purchases through Stripe.

Service providers

  • We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate the Service. Each acts on our behalf and only receives what it needs to do its job:

  • Provider Role What it receives

  • Supabase Backend & database Event data requests; your email if you sign up; anonymous event submissions

  • Sentry Crash & error diagnostics Crash reports and technical device data (no identity)

  • Stripe Payments Payment details, only for paid listings, entered by you in checkout

  • Apple Maps & app delivery Standard map and app-service requests

  • Expo App updates Standard update checks (app version)

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. As part of ordinary internet operation, these providers may process your device's IP address at the network layer to deliver, secure, and operate the Service. We do not use IP addresses to identify or track you.

Links to other sites

Event and ticket links open in your browser and take you to third-party sites (such as event organizers or ticket sellers). Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Data retention and deletion

We keep email addresses until you ask us to delete yours or we no longer need it. Anonymous event submissions and diagnostic data are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above. Because the app requires no account, there is no profile to maintain or delete.

Your choices and rights

You control what you share:Location: grant or revoke location access anytime in your device settings.
Email: providing it is optional; to have your email removed, contact us at the address below.
Local data: clear saved and viewed events by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the limited personal information we hold (for example under the GDPR or CCPA). Since the only identifiable data we store is an optional email, most requests are simple — email us and we'll help.

Childrens privacy

The Service is intended for people aged 16 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected here, and your continued use of the Service means you accept the updated policy.
